Our Environmentally Friendly Pilot Stores
Tims China opened the first "Environmentally Friendly Pilot Store" themed around coffee grounds as we explore a new model of green retail. The main decoration material used is a new kind of environmentally friendly panel made from straws and coffee grounds, while eco-friendly boards have been used in some of the furniture to offer a brand-new experience. Chairs, holey boards on the wall, decorative surfaces on the ceiling, as well as the bar and booths are all made of coffee grounds. They remind customers of art and nature, showcasing the concept of "green recycling" through tangible items that reveal the power of nature.
Smile Cookie
Smile Cookies are Tim Hortons’ iconic charitable fundraising campaign. For every Smile Cookie sold, Tims China donates one yuan to the "Children’s Competency Education Program," initiated by the Adream Foundation.
Spreading the Love for Animals in Need
During Qixi Festival 2023, also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day, Tims China donated 1.1 yuan for each selected beverage purchase to a fund for stray animal rescue. Tims China transformed the concept of looking after China’s "single dogs" (in Chinese, a common endearing and self-deprecating way to refer to single people on Valentine’s Day) into a practical way of looking after creatures in need, forming a unique charitable experience for Qixi Festival."
Reusable Cup Discount
Tims China launched a nationwide policy to honor its 3-yuan discount to customers who bring their own cup. This move is in line with the "reusable cup discount" trend seen in the industry, which calls on people to reduce their use of disposable cups.
